Re-ROOFS: The reason for reroofing is as follows: as a roof progresses in age the slate fixings which are generally copper nails or wooden pegs snap with years of strong winds causing the slates to slip and dislodge - this causes the back pointing to fall out which leads to water penetration, causing wet/dry rot.
CHIMNEY STACKS: Perished lead flashing's to chimney stacks is one of the main roof problems. We carry out all repair work to chimney stacks, repoint and reflaunch the stack. Replace lead flashings around the stack. Fit chimney pots and chimney cowls.
GUTTERING: Gutter renewal and repairs are caused by existing gutters not being maintained or painted or in fact cleaned out. Take away the hassle and have your gutters cleaned and maintained annually by Acorn Roofing. We also repair and fit all downpipes.
LEAD VALLEY'S: Lead is a very robust ancient material but it does eventually age and wear out due to expansion and contraction - resulting in water penetration into your home - due to defective lead valleys or perished lead flashing's around chimney stacks - causing damage to plasterwork and decorations. We can replace the damaged lead work keeping your building good against the elements with lead, fiberglass or asphalt - making your roof watertight.
GENERAL ROOF REPAIRS: Roofs are notorious for suddenly springing a leak - needing instant repair. Ring us and we will give you our immediate attention.
